    Default Divisional Shootout returns

The Divisional Shootout for the Nelson Ledges Cup returns May 15 & 16 2010 where else but at Nelson Ledges Road Course. Will Team Great Lakes be able to retain their title or will Team Northeast take the Nelson Ledges Cup home this year. Watch these forums for more from Great Lakes Captain Greg Vandersluis and Northeast Captain Jim Royal or visit www.nelsonledgescup.com

It appears that team Captains Jim and Greg are a bit busy working on their cars. Maybe if I bribe them with beer they might come up for air and add their 2 cents worth on the upcoming races.

Sorry Brad, havent been on here in a little while.
Ill put in my 2 cents...

Hello all, Im Greg Vandersluis, Great Lakes Team Captain for the Divisional Shootout. This will be our second year hosting this event. I had the honor of being the Great Lakes Captain last year as we went on to clinch the Cup by a very slim margin. Every driver counts for both Great Lakes and Northeast. Teams are split evenly based on car count so it is more than fair. A great time was had by all competitors.
If you havent been to Nelson Ledges for quite some time, there have been huge changes to the facilities. It is a great and fast place to come and race.
If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
Thanks and hope to see you all there!

So who's planning to be there. I have heard from many of the ITC drivers that this is on their list. I think I can count on 6 C cars already. Should be a VERY good time. Maybe we can outnumber ITB?

Ill agree with that. 6 for C sounds about right.
And if I remember right, C usually always outnumbered B at Nelson. Maybe im wrong?

Should be a good event. Im sick of winter. But there is a car in my garage thats still in a million pieces

Im thinking probably more like 10 ITA cars. My estimate may be a little high but Im just basing it off of the average number of cars last year. A usually always has some good fields.

And Ill be ready for that Neon! :026:

The real question will be will the Neon be ready for that Honda????

Your probably right figure you, me, Jarrett, Marhefka, Kozak is 5 cars alone there and add in the 7-8 other possibilities. Ten is probably a safe bet.

Online registration finally open on nescca.com. I got to be the first one online to register. Now, I just need to get the car done. So much work so little time. Damn housework is killing me!

Well my car is still on stands. I have a short list, install shocks when back from truechoice, finish removing sound deadening, mount up 10 new mystery tires, scales, alignment, change oil, usual pre race inspection. Go kick some HONDA ASS!!!! Well at least it sounds good on the internet

Greg I hope you are there, I am just finishing up my tranny, new third gear, got to the point that I didn't know if I had third or not. This left me in some uncomfortable positions. Should be good to go.

Is it the end of the world? ITC is the biggest class with 9 so far.

For the record the Nelson Ledges Cup is tied up one all now. Great Lakes won in 2009 and Northeast won last weekend. This ought to make 2011 interesting. I am working on a major update to nelsonledgescup.com where full results in individual races along with the Cup competition will be posted. Thanks to all that came out and raced this year
