Great to see you back in the game! AND, that's a great looking car. Bring it to the ARRCs to show it off and get it's logbook!

    Test fitting the wheels.

Whats really scary and dissappointing is that my 17x8.5 wheels with 255/40 rubber is NO wider than my old 225/45 15 Hoosiers that were on the 240sx. Man I think this thing is going to be terribly under rubbered.

According to Hoosier, the 255 tire is 3/4" wider in the tread. But why not run a 275, or even bigger? They are 1.5 inches wider and more.
(Some FWD guys are talking about stuffing a 275 on a 7" rim, I have to think that an 8.5" rim has wider options than a 255)

Awesome looking!!!!! Nice job Tristan. Looking forward to seeing this car on track.

275s will fit on a 7" wheel. I had some mounted to fit on the TR8 wheels and they will go on. Tire man didn't complain that much and they were not on the wheel in a configuration that I wouldn't run them. Certainly there is some pinch to the tire rim, but I didn't think it detrimental. With the wider wheels in R you'll be fine.

My tire guy says that I need to stick with a 255. That a 275 won't benefit me. I'll have to talk with him again.
