Liberty Bell Motorsports Park is a very serious effort which stands an excellent chance of coming online in 2010 or 2011. The track plans have been in litigation for the past 7-8 years to overcome objections of the township and an adjacent property owner. Substantially all of the legal actions have been decided in favor of the track and they are getting ready of proceed with construction. The construction of a similar facility at New Jersey Motorsports Park took about nine months from groundbreaking to the first race.

Lou Mascaro is a long time automobile enthusiast is the principal in the track corporation and has funded the lengthy legal proceedings. Most of the cars on the museum page of the Liberty Bell web site come from his personal collection.

Normally I do not get excited about a new track until paving has started but from the effort I have seen so far I am optimistic that we will have another track in NEDiv. Liberty Bell is far more than a paper track.
