Transmission question

My co-owner picked up a free second Gen RX7 transmission from a fellow racer up here in Alaska. I am curious what model the clean transmission in the back of the picture came out of? Or if it is from a S5 car?

Our car is an 86, 4 lug (5 lug setup on there now,) no power steering, no LSD (originally.)

what i think is ..the smooth case trans should be 86-88 , the cases with the "ribs" should be 89-91. i try to use the rib case trans , its stronger , ( i think ) we break fewer rib case trans , but they break also. racingralph
