    Default Just for fun

I pulled out the 2000 GCR (and ITCS) to see how similar cars were spec'd in IT back then. If it wasn't so sad, it would be funny.

    ITA:

    '93 VW Golf III 1984cc 8v 10:1 2350# (115hp stock, ABA motor)
    '93 VW Jetta III 1984cc 8v 10:1 2480# (115hp stock, ABA motor)
    '86-'88 VW Scirocco 16v 1780cc 16v 10:1 2320# (123hp stock, PL motor)
    '87-'89 VW Golf GTI 16v 1780cc 16v 10:1 2220# (123hp stock, PL motor)

    ITB:

    '85-'87 VW Golf/GT/GTI 1780cc 8v 10:1 2280# (103-105hp stock, RD motor)
    '85-'87 VW Jetta 1780cc 8v 10:1 2350# (103-105hp stock, RD motor)
    '83-'88 VW Scirocco 1780cc 8v 8.5:1 2270# (90hp stock, JH motor)

Just a small slice to show just how busted this system was. These people didn't have a frickin' clue. I'm sure there are plenty of other examples throughout that ITCS.

What I like about that Bill is that while SOME if it is 'fixed' (meaning consistantly listed) there is plenty that isn't. Hence our desire to run everything through. Would it potentially cause problems, you bet...but I would risk it.

    Andy,

I would 120% support running everything through. It's what I've always advocated for. I am even ok w/ some cars getting variances (either up or down), as long as there's solid data to justify it. Too bad you guys got neutered by the CRB.
