    Default Competition Valve Jobs

If a cylinder head had a 3 or 5 angle valve cut can you tell by looking? is it physically apparent? thanks

Easier to tell by looking at the valve, but yes.

Thanks - yes I meant the valve/head assembly. I assume you would see sharp angles/edges versus a rounded slope on the topside valve edge? anything else to look for? thanks

You can really only "see" it at the time the work is done. After the engine has run, not so easy to see. 3 of the angles are to set the seat "width" and postion. The outer two angles from the seat just help to "mold" the flow. The machine shop will use blueing to see how his angles are shaping up as the seats are ground.
