    Default 84, 318 or 91 318 is??

I just bought two BMWs, the 84 i and the 91 318IS. The 91 is a nice street car, the 84 looks about right for an ITB car. Can the 84 make weight and does it make enough power?? I had a 77 320 that made a great ITB car. Is the 84 better than the 77??
I dont think that the 91 IS can make enough power to run ITA. Sweet car though.
    Thanks for your time. MM

With the demise of the VIN rule, you can use the 84 for ITB, ITA, or ITS. Just change motors. Personally, I'm partial to the "A" variant.

At the ARRC last year, a BMW sat on the pole for ITB, so yes, the car can be competitive. Let me know if I can be of help. Chuck

Does anyone have any stock E 30 springs?? The 91 is on the stock , mile high springs and they need to get cut, but I just cant cut the bone stock, virgin springs. Cheap is good, plus shipping of course. Maybe If I do the ITB thing with the 84 'ill have a set.
The 84 is FS at 700$, rock solid FL. car , runs well, plenty of new FI stuff.
