    Default Last chance

To the powers to be at the glen this weekend i have a question? What are the cahances of combining groups 6+7 ITA/ITS etc. and groups 2+5 wings and things? It would give a total count of 26 cars in group 6/7 and 11 cars in group 2/5. Thus making 5 groups instead of 7 giving us 30 min + 1lap races instead 20 min + 1lap. And we can all get out of there a little earlier on sunday.

I have been the first one to request separating ITS/ITA with split starts this year, with the lower car counts it may work out just fine. As far as wings and things i think 11 cars total between 2 groups can sort themselves out pretty easily. It would benifit everyone with more track time.

    Thoughts?

Yeah I know I am a big PITA.

Joe, I was just looking at the entry list and thinking the same thing.

The Glen is a long tow for me (about 6 hours), and I've only been able to get up there once per year the last few years. The additional racing time on Sunday would make the tow even more worth it.

If the Stewards were to make the changes, what is the procedure for notifying the members of the affected race groups?

Joe, you know they don't check this site right?

you might have to get of Facebook, Myspace and the forums and send an old fashioned email...

Sunday Group 2 combined with Group 4 ? FVees and F500s etc. with GT1 and A Sedans etc. ???? Group 2 + 4 = need extra body bags.

Ummm...are you reading the sked right ?

How about 2 + 5...maybe. Ever had an FA come by you "at speed" ? Truly puckering. It'll scare the crap out of the Vees.

I will be there and can bring the radios back to NY. I can meet you somewhere around Danbury if that would help. I work just across the border from Ct around Fishkill.

Hey Joe I guess you really want to see my back bumper!!!!!! But seriously I am definitely up for combining groups and getting longer races.

Does anyone know who will be there for tire support?

Smarty will be there Friday am - Sunday...except during enduro hours, when he'll be running the Orange mayhem generator. That's what he told me last night.

I assume that means he'll be doing tire support, too.

Thank you for the offer, Dan. Actually, now that I think about it, I'm flying commercial to the VIR 13. It would actually work out better if Joe could give those radios to someone who is actually driving down to VIR... - GA

    Sweeeet. Thanks!

Which, of course, begs the question: what are "we" driving there? SM? SSM? "Real" ITA? SMMAAITAC? I think Plunkett and crew (Kessler et al) are SMMAAITAC'ing with the Subway car.

Come find us on Friday, we can coordinate pit placements. - GA
