Ebay has been a good source. Enter a recurring search under your control panel on Ebay and it'll email you when it finds some.

My guess would be from a Datsun 280z :P

Chris and I would be happy to sell you some if we had em in the bays of parts we and have, but if I remember correctly most the stuff we have is all early Zcar stuff.

Do the 280s have a square or round flange? I have a pair of round flange Datsun stub axles in my garage.

Don't know about the round flange or not. Hey Tom, be sure to get the companion flange as well. The 280 stubs are 28 spline and the 240's are 26 spline If I remember correctly. I do know that the spline count is different by 2. Also get the "distance piece" if you can. It will make the install much easier if your current axle's are "B" distance and the new ones are "C" distance it could cause an issue. I have several on hand and I will check to see what I have got this evening.

This is what I have. I really don't know what they are. They arrive with a R180 diff that the stork left on my from step.

I count 25 splines. If they are what you need you are welcome to them.

Ahh! I see now You are refering to the stubs that plug into the diff, I was refering to the axle(outboard) side. Jeff, you may have a 180 from one of the other cars that used them like Subaru, Maxima, 200sx etc. Regardless, it is still a R180 Those look like CV shaft flanges.

You may be right, it could be 25 and 27 spline count. I don't remember but the splines are different between 240's and 280's on the outboard side.

    Thanks for the responses!

    Paul,

There's a bearing spacer that goes on one side too. And you're right, I need to buy a set, not just bits and pieces.
