Default Date set for the 2010 I.T.SPEC*tacular

    Yep,

That's right! The date of July 30th-Aug 1st has been set for the 2010 I.T.SPEC*tacular. Thanks to TrueSports (Mid Ohio) for the quick response in setting the date so everyone can get their time off into work for next year.

Stay tuned for more details after the ARRC.

Cool. We'll make it part of the GTA National Tour as well. And if I recall correctly, won't 2010 be a "with chicane" year?

And for your next challenge can we please get the PTB to start the races from the back straight?

Cool. We are talking about take 2 for us. Maybe even get really silly and show up with all 3 cars...A, B, and C.
    (watch, they'll all run together:cool: )
Hopefully, we got all of our bad juju out of the way this year.
Club course is the chicane, right?

Good point Butch. I'd like to see all SCCA starts on the back straight. I beleive this is the safest.

Yes. And believe it or not it officially adds .12 to the track so instead of 2.28 miles it will be 2.4 miles in length.

Todd! Please don't banish the starters to the back woods of Mid-Ohio!!!!!! I spent years in the uninhabitated area of Mid-Ohio at Sound Control, and the back straight starter's stand is even farther out in the woods. Slightly tongue in cheek, but it is a consideration. Especially since they rotate to the Pit Out position, and/or would have to start the race, and then drive back to the finish line for the end of the race.

I appreciate your concern. The pro start stand is occupied by corner workers on all weekends now so its not much of a banishment.

I will do everything in my power to be there in 2010, and hope to bring as many CenDiv IT racers along as I can. I know Rich had a good time in ITS this year, and have a few ITB guys pretty interested in making the trip, and I really want to convince a relatively prolific MidDiv B guy to make the trip.
