the challenge with the 850 will be making weight.

we have 300 pounds to go, I can easily see another 100-125 pounds. The other may come from creativity and choosing the right parts.

Or the driver losing some weight

We are limited to a 15x7 wheel, so 245 may be the limit.

I doubt we will be able to get to minimum weight.

I doubt it will be challenging for wins in ITS. The 240Z's have quite a bit of time on us. We'll see how it goes. We are hopeful, but also realistic.
Gotcha. FWIW, you might try and test fit the 275's... D-Stock autox guys are shoehorning them onto 6" wide wheels so they should work (relatively) OK on a 7" wheel. I'm not saying it'd be ideal but it may help keep the car from overheating the front tires.

Yeah, minimum weight was one of the concerns I had about the car. Those things definitely have some tank like build quality!

Even if the 850 is never "the" car to have, it's definitely one of the coolest/quirkiest cars for the class. Best of luck with the two builds!

I think we can get it within 150 pounds with little work. The next 150 pounds will take some creativity good thing we have a few months to figure that out
