    I would be interested as well. What all parts need to be changed? Just output shaft and ring and pinion?

    The Ouput shaft from Mopar comes with 1/2 syncro assembly aswell as the gear cluster. The Output shafts as I get them are just the Pinion so to speak. You need a 20 ton press and some heat to remove 5th,4th, and 3rd from the output. Then there are some roller bearings that also may need to be replaced.

    Chris, have you looked into any custom FD gear sets, like a 4.30 or lower?

    Yes I have, and you wouldn't like the price!?!? NVG wanted engineering time to create them. A 4.30 would still allow top speed @ Daytona without an issue. Most tracks our top speed is around 120ish, so even a 4.5 would be a good choice. Custom Final drives ring the bell around 2K

    Yikes! I'm still tempted to try the 3.55 trans. It would mean using 2nd more, but so many corners I'm between 2nd and 3rd gears on exit w/the 3.94.

    So what happened at ITFest? I was hoping to see the Neon near the top of the results. I reeeeeeally wanted to be there, but being unemployed since Feb has killed my season completely. Might be back to work soon though, so I might be able to salvage it a bit. Would love to be able to do the ARRC.....

    Well, I could be all full of BS about how I missed my tire pressures and the align,ment was off, but that would be a lie.

    Truths;

    1) I was not in the right place mentally. I hadn't driven the Neon since Jan @ Sebring and was pissed off @ the car. Also, I found my self not taking chances due to my new little guy that I now need to provide for.
    2) Car was short the 4.12. I know that it is only about a 6% difference in ratio, but man it helps!
    3) Car has engine # 4 or 5 @ this point and was not quite broken in yet.
    4) I was in survival mode to just get through the weekend. I actually needed to get a waiver this year due to 3 DNF's last year.
    5) The development of the Neon has been on hold due to work getting in the way of racing. Even when racing is my work. There are still some items left on the table. Not much time in them, but I am sure they will help.

    I plan to attend the ARRC this year if all goes well @ the RunOffs. We'll see if I can find some speed between now and then.
