    Default Mk4 Q

Anybody know whats involved in removing the secondary air injection (SAI) pump and the evaporative emissions (EVAP) system on a 2.0 car? Obviously I don't car about check engine lights, but performance is a must. Would I be able to tune it out with VAG-COM or the MegaSqurt system?

    Default You building one?

I am sure the megasquirt will work. The Lugtronic will work and is specifically designed for the VW... it is based upon the megasquirt but customized for VW. If it is an IT build then you can get it with the Lugtronic with wireharness etc. or with a plug that plugs into the factory wire harness.
    Are you building one?
I have one waiting to be built. Right now I am just driving it on the street as a backup car.

Absolutely it could be done with a Megasquirt however stick with the early Mk 4's as the later one's (01 02??) are drive by wire which MS cannot handle (nor can lugtronic if I am not mistaken)

Very doable. The AEG should be capable of about 125whp in IT trim with a good tune on a Megasquirt.

Chris, DO NOT waste your money on a Lugtronic system. For a couple of hundred bux more than the Lugtronic ECU I can sell you a Megasquirt 2 system installed AND tuned.
