Speaking of the Pig Roast, does anyone know if they put the chicane back after doing the drainage work in the infield? Or should we plan on NASCAR 1 and 2 for both days?

The chicane is back. I was told by the track manager that it is closer to the oval and shaped a bit differently. Exit is the same at two but entrance and mid points are different.

Region management has some safety concerns about the new chicane. We are told it comes pretty close to the fence. Final decision as to if we are going to run it on Sunday will be made on Friday.

    Default new chicane

yes - I ran the new chicane yesterday. It's different... pit out is different when it's in use.
There is only a simple chain link fence between the track and the infield... no protection and no type of barrier. A car could easily end up through it.
I doubt very much we will run it.
