Is those grouping correct? ITB is with ITS and ITR. Shoulded ITA and ITB switched?

We run ITB with R and S up here for the most part. Thought is that the speeds are different enough so that interclass racing os kept to a minimum.

FOM is in for this event. Other than a pre-pay and DLB, it looks sweet!

    Some minor clarifications.....

    Sunday 19 July 2009
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM (approximate start time) Lunch
1:30 PM - 5:15 PM 20 lap Challenge races groups 6-9 then 1 Hour Jersey Dash for Cash

We should be done by 5:15 on Sunday.

Expect the same schedule for the August event at Thunderbolt (groups will be shuffled).

The October event will be the same as last year, 8 groups + Pro IT. Friday will be qualifying, Saturday and Sunday will have 3 races per group and dual TeamDI Pro IT finale.
    Thanks,

I had no issues running with ITS in an ITB car on Thunderbolt last year?

Great group of guys and super fun to run with.

need inform: on the Dash for Cash. I will be attending the race.
    Example from Darrell:

In example the fastest lap time in the Saturday Qualifying races
    #1 = 60 seconds
    #2 = 55 seconds
    #3 = 50 seconds

This is a 60 minute race, 60 seconds per minute so you have 3600 seconds in an hour
#1 = 60 seconds per lap should complete 60 laps in 3600 seconds (60 minutes)
#2 = 55 seconds per lap should complete 60 laps in 3300 seconds (55 minutes)
#3 = 50 seconds per lap should complete 60 laps in 3000 seconds (50 minutes)

    Standing start from pit lane.
    #1 starts, clock starts
    #2 starts 5 minutes (300 seconds) later than #1
    #3 starts 5 minutes (300 seconds) later than #2

#1 is the slowest car and will have 60 minutes on track.
#3 is the fastest car and will have 50 minutes on the track.
The fastest car will have less time but complete the same distance (number of laps).
At the finish all the cars should cross the finish line at the same time covering the same distance.

The top 10 get 50% of the entry fees as prize money.
In example 20 cars enter so the entry fee is $140 x 20 = $2800, $1400 goes into the prize pool
    1st place is 22% of $1400 for $308
    2nd place is 16% of $1400 for $224
    3rd place is 13% of $1400 for $182
    4th place is 10% of $1400 for $140
    5th place is 9% of $1400 for $126
    6th place is 8% of $1400 for $112
    7th place is 7% of $1400 for $98
    8th place is 6% of $1400 for $84
    9th place is 5% of $1400 for $370
    10th place is 4% of $1400 for $56
    Total of $1400

With 20 starters, the top four finishers get all of their entry fee back.

This is the COOLEST thing that I have heard of SCCA doing in the 20+ years I have been in the club!! I WANT to go to this race and if it wasn't for prior comittments (Work to pay for this habit) I would definetly consider this!

Please if any Regions in the area do this type of FUN race where I can race against friends in other classes and actually compete agains them I am in for next year! I love the idea of being able to race against everyone on the track! Fantastic idea and I love it! :026: Put it on the calender early and I will try as hard as I can to get to your event!

Congrats on thinking outside of the box, GREAT IDEA it truely Sounds like fun!

Another interesting aspect of the MARRS - NARRC Lightning Challenge is the competition between two premier regional race series. In addition to the individual awards and series points awarded to competitors, the Jersey Racing Board is promoting a challenge between the two series. Each competitor has the opportunity to declare the series that he / she is representing when registering for the event. The top six finishers in each common class (contested in both series) will earn points for their declared series on a 9-6-4-3-2-1 basis. The series with the most points at the end of the event earns bragging rights in the division.

And in the spirit of fairness, we will be promoting a rematch in August on Thunderbolt.
