    Default IT-7 count rivals ITA?

LOL, check out the current registrations for the Regional on the 20th. There are almost more IT-7 cars than ITA!?!?! And equal to ITB, and more than ITS.

What is this, some kind of alternate universe?

    I know, it's early yet....

Ya'll have been missing a bet by not having IT7 earlier. In the previous nine years where we've had IT7, the total number of entries has been ITA - 2090, IT7 -1907. The spread has gotten a little larger in the last couple years, but IT7 is still going strong.

In MIDIV ITA's greatly outnumber IT7 because of SM cars being entered in ITA. We commonly have regional-National weekend events. Some Spec Miatas are driven in the IT race by the co-driver or the same driver wanting more track time and more competition. A few former Spec Miatas have been converted to ITA by disgruntled SM drivers who got tired of the money-spending contest. I've also seen IT7 cars driven in the new STU national class. Things are really getting interesting.

The race Jake is talking about doesn't have 1 double-dipping SM registered in ITA. Normally ITA trumps IT7 by at least 7 or 8 to 1. See the LRP thread to understand what is going on there.

The only thing missing from that IT7 race is PATULLO!!!! I would chip in some money for his entry fee to have him race that weekend.

Anyone else want to give back to Dick for his YEARS of dedication to SCCA? 14 of us at $25 gets him in.

Anyone have the IT7 results for LRP 6/20? Yeah, I know where I finished but would like to see how long it took me to restart after taking "the road less traveled"!

    Thanks, BruceG

What would be really interesting is to have tire choice on there to see who ran what.
