Default What your opinion on fire suits?

I started my racing career wearing a three layer Simpson plus nomex underware. I always thought that if I was in a crash and an ensuing fire, I'd hate my last thought to be "gee, I wish I had spend more on a three later suit". Being in SRF, that was somewaht overkill. I changed to a two layer Pyrotect suit that is very cool and comfortable. I wear carbonex under that.

What is your opinion in the value of extra layered suits? Do you wear 1, 2 r 3 layers?

Bruce: I wear a two-layer Nomex suit with long Nomex underwear. I have raced at Mid-Ohio at both IT-Fests in August (long races, hot weather) with no problems. Long Island should be about the same. Oh, I forgot, Bridgehampton closed years ago!
