    Default Goodbye IT, Hello T3

Well most of you may remember that my ITB car is gone now and that I have made the move to T3 in an 06 GTI. My season starts tomorrow and I am off to the track in about an hour from now! WOO Hooo. Anyways here is a cool picture of the car before we loaded it up.

No, they are just one of my larger sponsors!!! Jeff M and I have been working together to develop what we hope is a Runoff's winning package!

    Default Cool!

    Aaron,
    Great news!
I have been thinking about a VW in T3 or another showroom stock group.
How competitive do you think it will be?

Please keep us updated on what you think about it's comparison to the other cars you run against in T3.

    Good luck!

    Hey Beran,

Before you jump into the SS/T classes, I'd suggest that you keep an eye on the participation levels. They are plummeting. The April numbers haven't been published yet, but take a look at March:
    http://www.scca.com/documents/Club_E...MASTER_MAR.pdf

SSC is doing the best of the bunch, averaging 4.0 entries over the 16 races through March. Of those 5 classes, T2, formerly the strongest of them as recently as 2005, is only at 22 entries through 16 races.

You can always find the most up-to-date copy of this list on the Runoffs page at scca.com, at the very top of the "more info" column:

The car is looking great Aaron. Glad to see it coming together, but I am really going to miss going wheel to wheel with you in ITB.

If I get any open time this weekend, I'll try to drop by Blackhawk.

Well I got back from an almost clean weekend at the track... I won my first race in the new car!!! What a way to start off a log book! What I have learned about T3. Really, really, really fast in a straight line with not the same cornering ability as the old IT car. Miatas are about the same lap times as I am (I dont have the diff. installed yet) and can cause a little issue with traffic. Once the diff is in though I think I will be about a second plus faster per lap.

thats the thing about us IT guys, we may not have a lot of power down the straights, but look out for the turns! we dive bomb them!:026:
