Great News Bob, I think Pro-IT fits in pretty well with ARCA and VW Jetta TDi Cup (not sure who else is part of the weekend). It's a good opportunity to show the crowd (and the other race series) the best of SCCA Club Racing.

Thanks for securing this event!!! That is now secured as a vacation week this year for me!!! Probalby one of the races that I am most excited about since I started in SCCA!

Does that finalize the 2009 schedule? OR may we get more sweet suprises?:026:

Damn, that's pretty sweet. Looks like it would be about a 9 hour drive for me, so I just might have to consider doing this.

Hey Bob, since this has the potential to be a max capacity event do you have any idea what the car count limits are on the thunderbolt circuit?

Thunderbolt is 2.25 miles, you can have 25 cars per mile so that is 56 cars.

There are 2 chicanes on this circuit. Maybe we can run one configuration in June at the National and another in September. What do you think?
    Thanks,
    Darrell Anthony

    8 rounds in 7 weekends.

NHMS, Pocono, NJMP Thunderbolt, Watkins Glen, Lime Rock, and NJMP Lightning. A nice mix of tracks.

Who is going to the NNJR Region Party this Saturday? We will have the NJRRS awards.
    Thanks,
    Darrell Anthony

Going to be an interesting turnout as this is the same weekend as a NARRC double at NHMS.

I think don't run EITHER for the Pro IT. plenty of squiggly crap at the other end!

I Agree. This circuit may start out fast but it gets REAL tight near the end. Besides in my opinion, turns two and three (the two places with the chicane option) are the best two turns on the track! Turn two is a cool blind crest sorta like turn 1 and the ski jump at lightning, and turn 3 is a flatout or almost flatout turn thats very fun as well.

No chicanes at all. If a full field is expected, give the racers a break!
