Ohio Valley Region Driver Awards

At the OVR Banquet tonight it was my privilege to hand out some awards to OVR drivers that had successful 2008 seasons. Winners included:

Dan Hardison--Novice Driver of the Year
Matt Downing--Most Improved Driver
Kevin Ruck--Regional Driver of the Year

All 3 are posters on this site and I thought I would let everybody know. Great job and lets do it again in '09.

Thanks, Dave! It was seriously thrilled to win that award again. Thanks to everyone who nominated me for it!

Right before Dave gave away the Most Improved award, I saw that it was the next thing to be given out on the program and said "Most Improved Driver's next? Well, that's easy.....Downing." Seriously, anyone who can drop his lap times as much as he did this year at every track he went to, while becoming a much more consistent driver, that's pretty awesome in my book.

If it wasn't for Matt pushing, 'er "assisting" me to get in to SCCA racing, my bank account would actually have a balance these days.....
