Default Moroso/ PBIR pics or video

Anyone run Moroso or the newly named Palm Beach International Raceway? Pictures or videos? Opinions?

Great video, looks like a nice course. What was your overall impression?

Your in the corners for a long time. 3 and 4 are over 180 degrees. Turn 10 is a 270 degree turn.
Turn 1 is the best passing area.
Right now, there is no grip on the track. It was a problem for everyone.
Also, the track is very abrasive. My tires looked like they had been sanded smooth.
They had us paddock on the cart track. It was OK. Kinda reminded me of Robeling's paddock.
Spectators HATE the track. They built track and wall so high that you can even see the track from the fence. There is one small bleacher set up at turn 10 that holds about 50 people, and that's it. Here is a picture of turn 4 during the race from ground level in the paddock.

That's a photographer up next to the concrete barrier. The closest the public can get is the chain-link fence.

A few of us were able to hop up on the kart tire wall by turn one and watch the action from there. 10 times better then turn 9/10...

Maybe there is plans for another viewing area/paddock. I am sure that they are going to want to have the option of running the kart track on race weekends like they have in the past.

With the track being that abrasive.. you would think that it would collect rubber somewhat quickly..

    Too little topography...

Those high HP cars look a bit out of place on that track.

Good driving in the vids though...

They're putting viewing areas on top of the garage suites, which will be on top of the garages just along pit lane. They're also putting a either a grandstand or a Sebring like viewing mound between 4 and 5. The track definately has some potential.

The cart track is being moved out to where the old motocross track was, and the current cart track will be paved over into the new paddock for roadracers. As for spectators, as Albert said above accommodations are on the way. The first order of business for the new owners was finish the dragstrip and roadcourse. I'm impressed they have gotten this much done in just six months or so. Everything else will follow over the next 24 months. These guys are sparing no expense and it's clear that they would like to hold professional events at the track. If that's the case they will definitely have some good viewing areas for the roadcourse in the near future.

My favorite part of those videos, (worth watching for the sound alone!) is the last part of the last one, starting around 4:40, and going to the finish.

    GT3 RS, FTW!
