Here's some video of Race #2 at NJMP. I will put up Race #1 (a total embarassment) soon. Enjoy the ride.

Congratulations on winning the 2008 New Jersey Road Racing Series in ITA!

I take it race 1 had the interesting move on the front straight. Great video.

I kinda dig the beginning! And it's educational to me too. I'm hoping new tires will fix the slimyness I experienced after a few laps on those, which had 8 or more sessions on them. Thanks Timmy! (NICE vid quality too!)

I like it. The first turn is over a brow and has a blind exit, so that's cool. The second /third turns require some finesse, it gets a bit autocrossy, but it's fast if you find the line. The right hander in the back goes over a sharp rise, with another blind apex /track out, so that's cool too.

A looong right follows that's about .8G for the entire thing, obviously flat, then it's a classic 90 degree left after pretty hard braking.

Finally, the loooong banked corner is the "signature" corner, and that takes some getting used to. I'd love to know I got it right, but i sure don't know that! I saw lots of lines through there. And you can pass into and thru it. I saw cornering Gs in the 1.3- 1.4 range, with spikes a tad higher.

You come out fast, so the straight is quick too, and long. I saw 115 or so there, which is getting near the limit of the little rats pedaling speed!
Then it's back to turn 1, after an uphill braking section.

All in all, it's not the Glen, but it's waaaaayyyy better than NHIS and Pocono. Lime Rock somehow defies comparision, LOL.

    Default Race #1

Okay - So I was lost out there for the first race - Talk about an embarrassing effort - incorrect gear choices, and just driving like a "Jerk" (hey that seems to fit these days), I did the best I could. Enjoy the ride.

Darrell - as you mentioned the first lap is a "Duzzy" - Even for a straight away spin.

Joe - loved the track, just needed a bit more seat time for this old broken down driver.

I'll agree with ya there Jakey. Fun track to drive. The only thing I din't like about it was it reminded me of Mid-o Where there are very few places to pass because it is so narrow.

The wanna be ITA RX7? Eh. I'm surprised you didn't comment about the ITB car that was further up in the grid.

Here's the ITS race on Sunday. I do a couple of things in this race that work out. On the start I lay back for a good run into T1 and it works.

I also drive a very low line in the lightbulb turn. Works nicely on the turn in but perhaps not as fast on track out, but it's an easy line every time. I think the fast way will be to drive into the turn hard and slide up scrubbing off some speed and then nail the throttle for a super fast track out. Sorta a faster LRP big bend line.

Ben I was very disappointed with your video.

There wasn't any commentary to go along with it.

I think Tim's first lap spin and then deep diving, hi-revving action was cool. If I was in a Miata I'd move over...

I really like the Lightning track - great rhythm track.
