Thread: What seat do you use for your Miata?

Default What seat do you use for your Miata?

I shopping for a seat for my "new" ITA car and was interested in what seat other Miata drivers have used and work best for the confined area. The current aluminum spec-Miata seat is coming out.
    Any opinions welcome.

    Thanks,

John, I've seen everything from a simple sprint car seat to a full head-restraint Recaro stuffed into a Miata. It's all about just how much work you want to do to make it work.

I've got an Ultrashield Pro Road Race seat in mine, and like it a lot. It fits the car well, and fits me well.

John, I would say the seat of choice these days in the miata racing world is the RaceTech seat. Saferacer can give yousome advice on installation.

I have a Kirkey intermediat road race seat and have it custom mounted. it is literally sitting on the floor under the butt. I did aobut 4 hours of time getting it all shaped right underneath and I feel good, safe, and low in the car.
