    Default Koni 2816/2817 struts

Is anyone using Koni 2816/2817 struts? They seem to be the only rebuildable and double adjustable non-canister inverted strut on the market.

I have a set on the front of my ITR Celica. I like them so far. I did not set them up originally as they were bought by the previous owner from a West Coast Celica.

Do you have any information on the struts? I am specifically interested in the top pin dimensions.

I have a hard copy of the manual which is at the office, I am sure there is an electronic version available. I will ping the guy I bought the car from.

Go to Koni's web site and download the Motorsports catalog. Dimensions are in there.

2816/17 struts are probably THE best struts for Improved Touring rules. I salivated over buying some for the NX for years, but the pricing kept me at bay...

Thanks for the links and info. I already looked at them.

Unfortunately Koni has conflicting information on the strut top pin dimensions. The dimensions range from M16x1.5 to M18x1.5 to 3/4". I sent an inquiry to Lee Grimes @ Koni asking for details of the top pin options. The top pin is welded to the damper tube so there are some options (potentially). I prefer the M18x1.5 as this is used on the Bilsteins and match my camber plates (i.e. no bushings on the spherical).

I wanted to see what current 2816/2817 struts had for a top pin.

THE best struts would be a linear roller bearing strut with any standard damper guts. Penske sells them @ $6k per strut. Proflex and BOS offer them, but I don't know their prices. Definately NOT in the IT budget.
