This is so new I was not up on it so this may be a dumb question, but to qualify for points what do you have to do?
I didn't notice anybody from MidDiv and we have two series for IT cars. MidAm was listed but the IT Tour is a seperate series that includes the full IT field.
Albin wasn't listed so if he didn't make the list I am sure the rest of the MidDiv is SOL.
The idea is great and I am probably at fault for not knowing more about it.

Mac,
I think maybe we contacted you about being the MidDiv rep. Bill Denton took on the post but has declined to continue in 2009. The ITTC is based on gaining points in one of two ways.
1. Race in the three major race weekends listed. The I.T. west at Thunderhill, I.T.SPEC*tacular at Mid Ohio and the ARRC at Road Atlanta.
2. Race in either the I.T.WEST or the I.T.SPEC*tacular, your divisional series, and the ARRC.
We did have participation but it was minimal, I think in part because we didn't get the rules set until March/April. Rules will probably stay the same for 2009. We really haven't had an in depth discussion yet on the program but I hope that we can continue to make this grow.

Yes you are right about being asked to be a rep. I was not sure at the time exactly what my plans for racing would be. Lots of better committte folks around then me anyway. I just figured Bill would have mentioned the two series in MidDiv although maybe he considered the MidAM a better one to go with for points. Last year it was the opposite ar the MidAm had some points weekend races canceled. IT Tour had a stronger schedule.
I would suggest Travis (tnord) for Midwest rep.
Southwest I don't have a clue.
I am going to make a National run next year, but the following year I expect to be back in good ol IT.
I think the Triple Crown is great and any kinks will get worked out. You guys should contact Mike Asselta with SAFERACER and offer them a chance at some sponsorship.

Its not a tough job. Discuss the rules via e-mail with the rest of the advisory committee, most of which happens during the winter months. Talk up the ITTC amongst the MidDiv. drivers. And if your budget allows... participate in the series. We hope to keep up the momentum in 2009 and hope you can join us. If interested PM me or Butch or one of the other guys with your contact info.

Does anyone have the phone # or email for the following guys?
