I post my in-car videos to my own website as .wmv files. I could embed them in posts here if you add that option and if anyone cares to see them.

(You can see them all at http://www.godoggoracing.org/gallery/v/Videos).

    Default Learn Me Video Editing

I have a couple of videos that are huge, like 1.2G and have no idea how to compress, edit, clip, etc. What software do I need or may already have that can perform those functions?

    TIA

Yes, never post unedited videos ... they are huge and often boring.

Windows Movie Maker comes with Windows and is surprisingly easy to use. You can find it under Start->Programs->Accessories, or do Start->Run and type "moviemk".

I personally edit out the boring parts, doing a nice fade-transition between segments so you know I've done it, and I also caption the whole thing to tell a story. Extra credit would be mixing in still photos or external clips that other people take, or adding background music (though I think the music of the inline-6 is fine :-)

Please, I'd really appreciate it if you could add photobucket video. I've got an account and a couple of videos. They're also short because of the size limit on uploads, so no 3hr enduros, more like a lap or two.

As mentioned in the first post, WMV URLs are supported.
    I'll look at Photobucket...

Oh cool, I misunderstood -- I thought you wanted to see demand.

    Testing ...

OK I misunderstood the original instructions. This will work with any hosted video sites on the list above but for .wmv to work they would have to be uploaded to IT.com. Not a viable option. However since you can upload WMV files to YouTube they can then be linked to IT.com afterwards via the method shown above.

I just added Photobucket videos and ESPN, Streetfire, CarPixTV...
