What front pads for a 510?

Hawk Blues are no longer available for a 510. That is what I have always ran and been quite happy with. The only thing I can now find is a Porterfield R4. How do these compare?

Does anyone think this would this be enough to appeal to run a different front brake setup if the R4's do not compare?

Sad for us old car Hawk Blue Pads users.

Carbotech will take car of you. They make all pads--although you may have to give them your backing plates.

I called Carbotech yesterday and they said no. Maybe I should call back and be more persistant? What do they charge you and do I need to remove the remaining old pad first?

They said "No"?? As in "not in stock"?

I know for a fact that they will "Custom" make pads in your choice of Panther compounds and that they usually are able to source backing plates.

Figure around $160 a set plus cores; maybe more.

WHAT EXACTLY DID YOU ASK THEM AND WHAT WAS THEIR RESPONSE??
