I'm going to go ahead and nominate myself as IT liason for 2008 WOR Games at Nelson.
Question: what would motivate you to run 2008 WOR Games at Nelson?
Yes, I realize the date is an issue being shoehorned between SBR at GM and OVR at MO and that isn't going to change. But feel free to complain about it.
1. What could be offered that would convince you put WOR Games on your long range schedule right now?
2. What could be offered that would convince you to WOR Games on your schedule at the last minute?
Examples:The schedule calls for a PDX on Friday and a PDX group on Sat and Sun. Would it be an incentive if your crew were offered a discount to the PDX?
Obviously, lower entry fee can be a motivator. how important is this? any bright ideas other than "make entry fee very low" or "no surcharge for late entries"? We need ideas, but we need income too...I can't make any promises, I'm just asking for blue sky ideas here. I'm hoping that since winter is not yet over you guys have time to think of some innovative ideas.
If you want to put down reasons you probably won't attend, that's fine too. Even that might tell us something that we could minimize a potential negative and perhaps attract some people.

This is simply my opinion and I have to say I haven't been back to the track for at least 2 maybe 3 years now, but:
1. I need to bring my mower or weadeater to stake my paddock spot.
2. The bathrooms typically are as good as my backyard.
3. Track condition, track condition, track condition.
I can get past the first two, but not the third. I have been to NL off and on for the past 8 years. Each year I hear the track is new and repaved, but find it's only in Turn X. It's not racing if you need to alter your raceline to avoid the holes/bumps/cracks in the track. Some say this is the heritage of the course and why it's so great to race there.
Again, just my 2 cents since you asked. It's all personal preference.

To be honest, I've all but given up trying to do long range planning for races. Even though in Feb. I can let everyone I know what races I want to do. Somehow a graduation party or family reunion or a wedding that were clearly scheduled AFTER my schedule was released simply moves to the top of the priority list
I'm not sure what the schedule is for the WOR games but I certainly did like the schedule of the IT Fest last year. Practice/qualifying and a race on Sat. then on Sunday a qualifying race and a race.
