Default H & N, single point release observation

With respect to the rule that has been distilled down to the "single point release" clause, where do the belts with the velcro sternum straps fit in? It looks to me like the sternum strap would be a 2nd point to release when trying to exit a car, rendering the belts as non-compliant.

This is just a gentle grade on what could become a steep and very slippery slope. Imagine getting to the point where only one brand of belt is accepted and the monopoly creates a prohibitively expensive belt.

It is my take that sternum straps are not allowed in SCCA racing. (There's much debate on their effectiveness, many feel they do more harm than good)

According to the GCR and the CCR, sternum straps are a no-no.
