    Default Morning Squints

    Bill,

 The text size for the new site seems to have shrunk. Please consider kicking it up one size or allowing a 'geezer' button to do it in the 'User CP' drop-down. 10 point Tahoma, Verdana or Arial would be great.

Other than that I love the makeover.

    Send some reports from Daytona!

    Thanks,

    DZ

It seems fine here. At least 10 point. Check your browser settings to make sure it isn't that that is affecting it...

    Default I noticed that too

It's either smaller or thinner (lighter) than most and seems harder to read.

I can make an "old farts" version that is accessible from a drop down at the very bottom. Gimme a few days on that. BTW, on my laptop I cant read it eaither! But on my big juicy 22" monitor it looks great

oddly, some responses are in larger types than others, presumably because the poster has chosen to go to size 3 or 4 as i have done here, in the reply type size window.

    Now 3 is probably better

But 2 is just too small..

although 2 boldened seems to help.

    {soapbox}If the CSS specified stuff in relative units instead of absolute ones, it wouldn't be a problem. Specifying a font size of 11px (eleven pixels) is double plus ungood because you have no freakin' idea how big a pixel is on my screen.{/soapbox}

I guess I just found out it is HIGHLY monitor dependent. I usually check here first thing when I get to work in the morning, and the text size isn't any problem on the moderate quality 24" LCD I have here. Yesterday I checked in from home, using a very high quality (Sony) 19" CRT, and I had to go find my reading glasses.

If you want a temporary fix on your 19" CRT monitor. Set your Windows resolution to 1024x768 ...assuming it's higher than that now. You cant really change from the native resolution on an LCD but you certainly can on the older CRTs.

Type your text in another word processor. Only 12 point seems to work for me. Then paste it into the comment or reply box. No squint!

    Test

    Arial

Have you guys tried hitting the CTRL key and using the mouse scroll wheel to change font size? Simple, fast, and because of it, you can do it for every site you visit.

    Default Multiple "Skins"

You can select "Default Syle" from the drop down at teh very bottom of all pages. This will bring up the old original forum style with it larger fonts.
