If the guy was serious, he would call with a schedule, I could give a solid price.
MM 2300$ would work OK and match price.

With all due respect to our faithful readers, $2300-2500 for the RR school is about right and it really comes down to deciding what you want to drive and who makes you feel the most confident with their details.

If that amount is just too painful, you might consider bass fishing as an alternative to racing.

Hey, I don't mean to hijack your post, but you're Kirk Knestis, right? Didn't you used to race somewhere on the west coast? I seem to remember you from somwhere, and I'm guessing IT racing in Washington or Oregon. Did you relo to NC? I used to race a 240Z in ITS before I moved out in 1991. Maybe you remember Paul Martin (ITC Toyota Corolla from the same time period).

Hey, Steve - I remember both you and Paul.

I quit racing to change careers a couple of times and ended up in VA going to grad school. Got a job in NC, started racing again, spent 4 years there, and just moved to WV this past spring.

I was actually visiting the ICSCC and NWR web sites last night, to post classified listings for enduro seats. It's pretty pitiful what NCR road racing has become. Looks like a proxy PCA ITE series. I didn't recognize many names, although there are still some running in OR that I know are left over from the '80s.

Paul and I are still good friends, even after we've driven each other's cars. I now have a GT3 Nissan and he occasionally runs his Tercel in GT3 and GTL. I also have a garage queen ITS 240SX. It would be nice to just get that thing out of the garage.

What kind of a car did you used to drive? I was talking to Paul the other day about a guy that used to crack us up. His name was Ed Tang and he had an ITS RX7 that even Paul would pass in his ITC car. Paul said he needed to have three hands: one for the wheel, one for the gear shift and one to point. He still seemed to have a good time.

Do you get down to Road Atlanta? We'll try to look you up there if you do.

I can't seem to get the picture to paste in, but here's one from SIR: http://groups.msn.com/gtracing/racing.msnw...hoto&PhotoID=79
