OK - some folks thought I was nuts to go for the NASCAR deal in SCCA road racing. V8 stock car is a offshoot of SCCA like HRG and runs at most of the tracks in the Southeast at SCCA regional events.

Randy Gay Jr. put this video together - really shows why these cars are so fun. These are former ASA stock cars, fiberglass bodied and weigh about 2600 pounds or less. They run an LS1 fuel injected motor making about 400-450hp at the crank. These cars are regionally classed as GTA in SARRC and MARRS and will soon be classed in GT1 nationally.
