Thanks, and go out to the shop and turn a wrench on that Merc a bit. (I hope I have the right car with the right guy!)

Nope, I sold it to a friend when I quit road racing forever in late 2004. Six weeks later my wife got tired of seeing me mope around the house and told me to go out and get another race car - which is the rabbit I have now.

Here's a pic from the RX3 at the very first road race at Barber:

I won at Memphis with it shortly after this pic was taken. Memphis was ugly for the car after that. Second trip involved brake fires while throwing lava rocks at Chris Albin's windshield after a muffler backfire. Then, next trip to Memphis I snapped the driveshaft, and threw half of it over Chris Harris' (miss ya Chris) windshield. No joke, half the driveshaft came out of the back of the car, smacked the pavement, and bounced OVER CharBq's car. We were so lucky it went over and not into the windshield. The other half of the driveshaft smacked me in the hip, click on all the pics at the following to check that the damage:

I fixed the car after that, and drove it a couple more races before my very short retirement from racing. I had the motor built by SAS Racing (miss ya Carl) shortly before I sold it, and really enjoyed the car.

I had a great time with the RX3, and the guys I sold it to have been running Solo 1/TT events with it for a couple years now, with eyes on getting their RR license in the near future, so look for it to make a return to road racing in late 08 early 09.

For more pics, I still haven't taken down the "For Sale" page from 2004:

No reason to be sorry, I loved it, and used it. If you ain't breakin' it, you ain't racin' it

    See ya at Memphis!
