In an attempt to make my car legaler, I need a 190mm flywheel. Anyone have one they would be willing to part with?

You can email me at [email protected]

    Thanks

I thought they used the 200mm flywheel.

So there is a 190, 200, and 210mm flywheel? Are there also 190, 200, and 210 mm clutch disc and pressure plates?

I'm just trying to put what is proper on this car. Help if you can. Thanks.

I did some digging and cannot find any reference of a 200mm setup. But man I have yet to find one 190mm flywheel.

Thanks James. If you find anything, let me know. I am beginning to understand why the car had 210mm parts on it.

If anyone else can confirm the "proper" size, I'd appreciate it.

I'm trying to get this stupid VW back together, but the frustration continues to mount with identifying/sourcing the proper parts.

Not sure this is a 190, but might be worth contacting them.

Yes there is most definately a 190mm flywheel. We have 2 and could probably sell you one. Contact David or Jeff @ Atlantic Auto Works 321-254-1344 Mon-Fri 8:30 to 5. I know there are both 190mm and 200mm
flywheels and clutch discs. I just replaced a 190 setup in a customer's car last week. They wanted to go with a puck disc but all we could get in time was either a 200 (fits a 190 pressure plate but not the flywheel) or a 210. For that matter Kennedy race clutch doesn't make a 190mm puck disc.

    Anyway give us a call.

Great. 190mm parts are showing up. Anyone want to suggest a price?

AND, since I'd like to do this once and for all, can someone more knowledgeable than me with the VWs confirm what size flywheel a 1.7L Scirocco II should have. Thanks,

I always ran the 200mm flywheel in my 1.7L Sciroccos. I believe the 1.7 came with either 190mm or 200mm, but the 200mm is actually lighter. This is because the OD is actually the same for 190/200, but the "larger" diameter have a bigger circle machined away. I often used a 190mm 4-puck disk, as the 200mm was either unavailable or several times the price and not needed.
