I have everything just about ready for the school on my rabbit with one more thing on the list. None of the 3 stock gauges work. Oil pressure, H20 temp, voltmeter. Is there a website that shows how to get these wired up again or is my best bet the shop manual.

Are you talking about the OEM ones in the center console? If none are working, I'd suspect a power supply problem. Break out the Bentley and your test light and make sure they're getting power... - GA

All three of the stock center console gauges aren't hooked up (no wires at all)? I have to start from scratch.

Ah. Sounds like the prior owner removed the wiring...? You'll need to also verify the stock senders are still on the engine; fortunately, that's all off-the-shelf VDO stuff.

Is that Weisbergs ofl car? Or Washays? If so I'm sure the stock stuff is long gone...

I'd think that getting a basic aftermarket setup will be:
Faster (less time is more money)
    Cheap
    And more reliable/accurate
And can be put someplace thats actually readable while hooked into the straps with a helmet and a HANS or Isaac on...

A freind of mine sorted out the problem and even got the stock dash gauges working for the temp and fuel level. It was one of the main relays and all the sudden my fan started working again as well.
