Has anybody ever run the Kumho Ecsta 700's as intermediates? Need some rains and the price is right.

Don't run the full tread depth on a dry/damp track or they will chunk. If there is enough water to throw up spray they last and have good traction. In monsoon conditions they are marginal, but we don't get that much rain that often down here.

I am planning on buying another set for wets.

Jay: I had two with quite a bit of use on at the rain weekind at MO in Sept. Went out in group 2 Saturday morning. Ecsta's were on the front, and they felt real solid. Unfortunately, I had the wrong set of tires on the back and I ended my sessions before I did any damage.

I Have ran them for some time now and really liked them! Jhooten hits on the head!
Very predictable but you do have to keep them cool. find the wet spots!
Just ran them at Daytona and while others were slippin sliding I was dicing and dashing!
    Great tire!

I have used them for a few seasons on my E36. They were very reliable and fast in all rain conditions.
