I am not going this year but this year's IT Spectacular at Mid-O really whetted my appetite for the ARRC.

so what kind of FD gearing is good for a ITB CRX si? and how important is a Limited Slip?

does going with a stock FD and no LS work or not? anybody changing final drives for this track compared to say Mid-Ohio?

    posts or PM's welcome.

Tom, just out of curiosity, have you found that to work anywhere? :P

FWIW, I find Road Atlanta to be pretty similar to Mid Ohio in my final drive desires.

from the videos, the back straight seemed quite long compared to mid-ohio.

but you have pretty much the same top speed at RA?

Keep in mind Tom that at RA you're going up hill for a while; at Mid O you're going down hill.

What Dave said. At Mid Ohio, I think you exit with slightly more speed coming onto the back straight (I'm higher in 3rd), and then it's all downhill from there. At Road Atlanta, it's uphill almost the entire way down the backstraight until you crest the hill down into 10a.

    Yea, about the same.

Again, this is all just in my experience.

I haven't driven Mid-O but as others have said, the entrance to the back straight is the slowest corner on the track and most of the back straight is up hill.
