Does anyone autocross their ITB car with a welded diff? I know the car can run in SP in ITB specs (maybe not that competitive?) The reason I am wondering is that I am finishing an ITB A2 GTI this fall and I will autoX, HPDE, and drivers school before bashing your fenders. Who do you get to weld your diffs, do you do it yourselves, how do you do it properly. Cheers

Todd Rehklau has autocrossed in Chris Albin's GP car a few times just for grins, but they took the time to pull the locker and install an open diff trans.

I would not want to try to negotiate a slalom with my welded.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I have a few boxes and I will leave one open. Any suggestions on welding my own or sending it off. I like Bildon's spool too - seems like the weight savings would be a good thing. Don't know if the budget will fit this year - besides track time will be time/$$$ better spent.
