Building a 1.6L for my Bunny and have to replace the oil pump. 247 Parts shows a Schadek 30mm heavy duty pump and a Laso pump. The pump in the car was a Laso with what appear to be 30mm gears, but I'm guessing, as I don't have the pump in front of me. My question is thus - is one pump better than the other? The Schadek is the more expensive of the two.

I believe the Schadek pump is for the later 1.8 motors w/ hydraulic lifters.

I have a Melling oil pump in my car, and don't have a problem with pressures, even when it get's hot.

I do have to be careful warming up the car, since I have over 100 psi when it's cold. Don't want to blow out a filter or seal.
