I searched the forum for this and didn't see anything. Is it legal to run the circle headlights and grill on a rabbit GTI? I have seen a few H prod cars running them but no ITB cars. Mine are a little cracked up and I wanted to replace them. The circle setup seems to be alot easier to find. Was this an original option on the GTI or are they just on the cabrio's?

    Thanks

you have to run the stock headlights and grill.

the round headlights have maker signals built into the bumper and different fenders for the lack of side markers as well as a different radiator support.

what parts do you need? I have some leftover pieces from my C car.

I need the grill. Mine is cracked in a bunch of places and held on with zip ties. I also need the rubber ends of the fender. Mine are both torn and held together with zip ties as well. Now of course after I fix it I'm sure something will happen and destroy it all again. Isn't that how it usually goes?

The GTI was only an 83-84 car, and thus only came with the square lights.

I am also looking for one and found this place:

$55 isn't too bad considering on the VW messageboards most people try and sell used ones for more.
