I have a 1990 Miata, I know it is SM illegal, what about ITA...however a few things I think would throw it out. The cars specs are:

    -KYB AGX shocks
    -Tein springs
-Seam welded chassis * main worry
    -Delrin bushings * another worry
    -OPM strut bar
    -Header
    -Exhaust
    -Intake

It has a lot of other mods I know would be IT legal, I would not be competitive, but would not want to break the rules. I do not have a new GCR, so I cant look it up. Any input greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!

    Simon,

None of the items I left above are SM legal so I think going back and looking at the GCR is where you need to start. The way I read your post, you think all that is SM legal.

For ITA all of that is legal except that seam welding, and possibly the intake (you mean the air intake or the intake manifold?)

Then it appears to me that the only thing illegal is the seam welding.

Seam welding a miata? That sounds like the answer to the question that nobody is asking...

He means that no on has ever thought to seam weld a Miata because it isn't needed. Note that I think Bowie knows you didn't do this == the question is, why did that unknown mysterious P.O. do it?

Had some P.O.s do crazy stuff to cars as well, so I understand.

I think your strut bar is illegal also but you can pull that off. Yes, your seam welded chassis will be an issue but if you buy all your competitors some donuts we won't care *unless you beat us then you're a cheating bastard :P

Well it would not be competitive lol. Like I said the car came with all the mods done, I wanted something that had some nice parts and was about ready to do track days/autocross with, thanks!
