Any one know which muffler has a removeable end so the fiberglass packing can be removed and be replaced with lava rock. Dynomax???? Thanks.

Dick, I have a Dynomax that was done that way. Cut it open, get rocks, weld back up.

Actually you can make a Dynomax/Lava Rock muffler that is serviceable. We made one like CPA7MAN describes but instead of welding the hole up we rolled a patch out of 14 ga steel and riveted it on with stainless rivets. To make a gasket we used Hi-Temp RTV. It's been that way for 5 years still no leaks.

If you are bucks up you can start with a Magna-Flo and use stainless steel sheet metal for the patch.

In an early version we tried aluminum rivets......DUH.....they didn't work!
