We definitly lost a bit of time battling for position behind the VW while Marshal did a test day. Given that the ITR cars most likely are at the early end of their development cycle, and given the list of elligible cars - someone is building one today that will beat the BMW's - when that happens we are almost certainly going to see all of ITA and most of ITS at least one lap down. I'll be right there looking for ITR to have a home in Big Bore.

I absolutely wouldn't want less competition - I'm having a blast racing for that 5th position - I would have definitely liked one more lap to make the pass on Brad stick...

I am mixed about the ITS Cars they deserve to race as hard as they want as much as any of us, they just need to be aware of who they are fighting with, and generally not make multiple aggressive blocking maneuvers. The VW nearly took the front of my car off at least once before I got shuffled back. FWIW - I had the same problem with the rookie ITS Mazda in MARRS 1 before I put myself off.

I'll try the optimistic approach - I gotta go faster and make passes that stick. And most importantly gotta keep the orange VW behind me next time.

In case anyone wanted to see the race from my car I put it up on youtube in three parts.

wow, thanks for posting that video. i only watched the last section, but that was enough to make it painfully clear just how badly the its corrado was hosing up the ita battle. you three would have been a lot farther along if he had not been putting y'all in park in the twisty bits. great evidence for when i talk with him.

ps - i might not have caught ya if ya stayed on the track more... (j/k of course!)

Like I said - everyone has a right to race for positions - but....

NO DOUBT. It is on my to do list for the rest of the season I need to have less drama and lose about 2 secs. Practice, practice, practice...

Well, now I'm wound up tighter than an eight day clock, and its bed time. AHHH! The question is- Do you wait for the other driver to be couteous, or do you????? This happened to me a few years ago when an ITS car got between our race, and the thread went on for a week. Lets not do that again. Like I said, a bad race at S.P. is a very good race. Thanks for the video. Mine did not get turned on for some reason. It's a good thing, I got pretty excited there for a while.

and for marrs 4, sorry i kind of blew through on the last lap. i could have checked up and just followed y'all around for the last lap or two rather than passing, but i didn't realize how far up you were. it is racing and i am out there tryiing to go fast too, but with my competition sitting in the turn four tire wall, i could have reeled it in a bit. my apologies.[/b]
I appreciated your finishing position on Sunday - honest I think I owe you a for staying behind me at the finish :026:

The Corrado (black VW) was a big hinderance to the ITA race since that car was smack in the middle of the race for 5th thru 10th place. I wonder if he isn't colour-fixated since he managed to stay on-track when Brad (black Civic) was glued to his bumper but he drove off in turn 6 (without any assistance from me, thank you) when a certain bright orange VW was behind him He made some decent passes for no good reason (turn 1 where I re-passed him before turn 3 at least once and another time I "helped" him reach turn 3 sooner) but if he had let the ITA cars go away, we'd have had our race and he would still have finished behind the less slow ITS RX-7 that smoked past me during the Double-Yellow.

For the next races, I want an ITR car attached to my rear bumper to 1) push me around a speeds I never attained before and 2) to keep my competition BEHIND ME (where they belong). I'll settle for just keeping the competition behind me though
