Just got off the phone with Tirerack and found out that Kosi discontinued the K1 rim in 15x7 with 114.3mm x 5 spacing. Infact they have no wheels that will fit that don't weigh 18-20 lbs each or cost more than $300.
They have lots of 16" but we cant use them. They say no one buys 15" rims any more, and that 16" or 17" is what has the largest selection.

Does anyone have a source for reasonable ($150) wheels that will fit the 7?

Try Matt Millen in Ohio. Sorry, I don't remember his login name here. A few weeks ago he had some Panasports that might work for you.

You may want to consider the 15 x 6.5 BBS wheels which you can get for the $150/set price range you want to spend. They only weigh 11lbs each, but I do realize they are not 7" wide. I still run a 225/50/15 on them with no problems. What do I lose in contact patch vs. a 7" wheel? I don't know - would be a good experiment but I don't have any 7" wheels.

Ebay will be your best bet if you decide you want them.

I have a set of used Koseis. 37mm offset. They're white. Absolutely straight, no curb rash though they show cosmetic racing wear. Would need $440 + shipping for the set.

Team Dynamic Pro 1 wheels are strong, light, and reasonable. I got a few sets from OPM. 770-886-8199 or check their website. They might still have some sets around. Takes a while to get the proper back space if you have to order. Get the 7" width if you want the tires to stick--6.5 rolls on the sidewall. ISC is another option--Mike V usually has something for the RX7.

What is the ideal backspacing? I'm going to get 15 x 7's to try and found some + 35.

The ideal offset is +27mm. I managed to get a couple of sets of Kosei's in that offset. I wish I had a couple of spares....

I actually want the 35mm offset because I have some custom hubcentric spacers made by H&H. I wish I started this during the offseason.

C.Ludwig where are you located, what do you think it would cost to ship to LI, NY?

I got your name wrong, didn't I Matt (Miller). That's been bothering me for three days, and yesterday I decided I had it wrong.

Close enough, Matt Millen is General Manager or something for the Lions. Thanks for passing on the word. We had 11 ITS cars at Mid Ohio last weekend. Huffmaster did a 1:43.3 in qualifying.

I will take $750 including shipping to New Jersey for the wheels. I run 24mm offset with no clearance problems whatsoever, these are 25mm offset, fit perfect without spacers.

After hours upon hours of researching the past week, I just ordered a set of Team Dynamics Pro Race 1 in 35mm offset. They are going to be coming in the same time as a race and I need to get my spacers now. Should a 3/8" spacer be sufficient?

I use a 3/8" spacer with a 40mm offset 15 x 6.5" wheel now with just barely enough inside clearance.

For what it's worth, they said the lowest they could go was 30mm offset (not in stock). They had very little selection that met our spec needs in their US warehouse (I didn't even get first choice color), the next shipment is 2 months out from England. I have to wait for my 2nd set. OPM was long out of what they had.
