By the way, no one can down a beer like Downing.[/b]
I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that.

Doesn't matter though, because I'm not drinking a single beer at IT Fest.

Todd, can I ask what level of entries the Cincy Region would like to see in order to consider this event a "success"? 110 seems to be pretty good at this point, no?

edit - Looking at last years ARRC, there were 139 cars who qualified in ITC, B, 7, A, S, TCC, & SM. So far we're up to 96 for those same classes with 2.5 weeks to go. Not too shabby for the first year.

I am getting older, but I can still put them down! And Kevin - No beer again? I guess you'll be drinking the hard stuff (and hopefully looking like this ). I gotta find a way to slow you down - god knows I'm not getting any faster. I'll be happy with a mid-pack (or better) finish. Who are we kidding - I'll be happy to keep the car in one piece!!

At this point for a first year event I think we are doing great. I sure would like to see more TCC and SRF drivers registered but they may be playing this weekend and are waiting to see how their cars hold up. It sure is fun to see drivers coming from Colorado, Florida, The New England states and......California! Yes we have an SM driver coming from Cal Club.

I hope to have a new entry list ready for the cincyscca.com website today. Its getting harder to keep up!

BTW, Please remember that mail in entries must be postmarked by July 31st to avoid the late fee. Online registration is July 31st at Midnight to avoid the late fee.

    Jeff,

Each group will be getting four 20 minute sessions. I would assume that the 103 dB sound limit will be in effect. I will check on it.

Do the SRF guys just not know about this event or what? I'm a little disappointed that they only have 10 cars signed up. The SM guys are stepping up nicely though! Nice to see ITC get double digit car counts.

I agree that the I.T. and SM sprint races are going to be a blast. The SRF guys know its happening but it seems that SRF race groups have had very low numbers this year everywhere. I'm not sure why.

    To all,

With the large number of new drivers just visiting the track for the first time I was wondering if it would be a benefit to all if we had some kind of organized track walk Friday evening before dark? Possible have a driver from each class that has Mid-O experience lead a group. I know that everyone will be busy with set up. Let me know what you think.

    Todd-

Would love to have a walk around, possibly get some minivans and give a track tour as well for drivers/crew that are interested.

I herd a rumor that my father registered for ITS... the race is now on between the "Blethens" nevermind ITS/ITB

Oh, yeah!!! We'll promise to give him a tow down the backstraight if he can keep up through the keyhole! LOL

Now what kind of attitude is that!?! Surely the Audis are more reliable than the Veedubs???

Usually we try to pace ourselves to a 2-beer lap; if it takes 3, you're overanalyzing! But with that many people along, maybe we need to stick a keg in a wagon?
