I'm really enjoying the Z Car picture thread so I've decided to start one for the 240sx. Please post up pictures of your 240sx in action. Below is mine. Not an SCCA club racer, but a NASA TT car (no lectures please :P )

    Post up.

I know it is not anything even close to an IT car, but a friend told me about another guy who built a S13 with an RB20 or 25DET swap that he couldn't get to handle. Said it pushes like a pig and he is selling it cheap. I have been trying to track this guy down for a couple weeks. I may not have the fastest Z in town, but I can make a car handle. Watching the well sorted S13's and S14's around the track, 250-300whp would make for a super fun car. Hate to take on another project, but this sounds like major fun!!!

Hey Paul, be aware you may not be able to keep that number. Last I saw, I have the permanant number 56 in northern southeast, and there was a IT7 that had it down south, fyi. But perhaps that's changed.

    Tristan,

The IT7 #56 was my old car that I sold earlier this year when I bought the Nissan. Hopefully I will have a better chance of trying to keep up with you in this car if i make it up to Roebling again.

    Chris,

Mazmarc provided the graphics and my wife /crew chief applied them to the car. Bodyshopdotcom has provided me with technical/mechanical support. Jim is also co-driving with me in the enduro this weekend.

If I could only keep the motor from frying the bearings I may actually complete a race this year!!

If anyone has some suggestions on a course of action to build a reliable KA motor for racing, I am all ears. For some reason on three different occasions the oil temp spiked and caused a real bad rod knock and loss of power. The last time the oil leaked out from the head and front seal. I did not do the work myself but had a shop do it. It is not my driving nor over revving. Something is not right.

Needless to say after the 3rd engine failure I am moving on to another source. Junk motor? Rebuilt? Still trying to hash this one out. I welcome help from other racers that have had success with the KA. In my last S14 race car I had a Sunbelt motor that lasted me over three years with no major issues.
