Staggered offset

Has anyone done this in a track oriented car? I searched the forum for what would be a better offset in a 15x7 wheel (RP-F1). The wheel is offered in 35 and 41mm offsets.

The 41mm offset seems best for the front of the car as it keeps the scrub radius down and the car has a non power rack.

For the rear the 35mm offset seems ideal as it has the widest track and will offer the most grip.

I don’t want to hurt the balance of the car although I can adjust that some what. What other negative implications could this set up have? Has anyone done this?

Don't bother. Just get the 35s and be done with it. Not being able to rotate the wheels/tires front to back to even out wear would suck!

As for scrub radius, it is a non-issue. I run 30 offset 15x7s on my ITA Miata and it certainly hasn't messed with steering effort. The steering inputs we use on track are pretty small in the grand scheme of things.

While I agree with the front to rear issue, I would very much consider a left/right offset stagger as you get into very advanced set-ups. On tracks that are very one-turn bias, this it can be very helpful. I wouldn't try it until you looking for the last 1/10th's.
