I swear these two guys are gonna simply ASPLODE before the first race weekend of the year...then, if by some act of God they make it through the next 2 weeks, they'll run into each other in the first session...

My tranny is done - can't wait to get up to NHIS. Just need to assemble the bits and pieces. I want a top three overall in the big bore race. Looks like Branscomb will race SPO - if I remember right he's got a sick GT1 Mustang?

The Fiero is getting close too - figure it'll come out in the summer to play. Motor dynoed well - needs some tune magic for the last extra ponies - all I can say is it pulls monster torque - hp was good but not where I want it yet. Lots more little spherical bits going into that car.

LOL! Touche Jeff! Nah, overall there are usually a couple dozen in big bore or what I affectionately call Alphabet Soup. Looks kinda light for the Opener - 9 cars in group 4.

Yes, ITA beckons. The thrill of the big bore car is huge but the competition is in A. We'll see how the budget handles 2 cars. It'll be interesting to drive a low powered car again - they say once you get used to the power there is no turning back.

How is NHIS about sound? Do they enforce the 100db? I am right on the 103 limit....

The track neighbors (public) is strict, so NHIS is very strict with SCCA, thus to be a good "customer" the SCCA Stewards are very very strict and proactive.

I can personally vouch that they are strict. I have to run my "quiet' exhaust there, and if it rains, I have to run my "super quiet" exhaust.

My car is pretty loud as well but as long as you have an exhaust that points toward the drivers side, you should be ok. Sound is to drivers right exiting turn 10 under full throttle. Design a little slip-on that can be pointed down and away from the station. I bring one to every track just in case.

    You coming to opening day?

    Friday the 6th:

    ITS: 10
    ITA: 18
    ITB: 3
    ITC: 1

    ITS making a move!

I am not sure why (maybe 1 day regional at NHIS is the reason?), but the ITB field is usually low at the first event of NHIS... Don't fear that you wont have good car counts after this race

Andy why are you not listing the new brother/sister ITR cars, they are part of the IT family now right!!!

Do yourself a favor and pre-register on-line. If you don't show, no problem but if you do, it will save you some late fees.

I have adapted the current 'exhaust to have' in SM to my header...it makes good power but we will be doing some exhaust development later this year.
