This is not a completely new thread, but from reading previous threads the going spring rates seem to be around 500lbs up front and 325 to 400lbs in the rear. I contacted GC and with a 6inch spring the lowest I can go is 450lbs using their eibach springs. If I go to a 7in spring I can get down the that 325lb range for the rear. What spring lengths are being used 6inch or 7 inch.

I'm a bit surprised with the spring rates. You don't want higher rates in the rear?

Yes, but I don't have any suggestions as of right now. I keep goning higher and higher everytime I take the car out.

The rates that he is taking about are a good starting point.

I have the ground control system with the Koni sports and I think the stock ACR's had the same shock. In regards to spring rates I went way higher then whats on this thread. I am running 550lbs in the front and 650lbs in the rear and wish I would have gone to 700lbs in the rear. It made a huge difference in the way the car handles, very well balanced.

Well after last weekend I can surely tell you 550 lbs up front is too much ! We had 650lbs rear and they weren't enough. We will go 500 front / 700 rear respectively at a 7" length. We actually compressed the rears enough under full load to have fender rub. Make sure you don't over spring whatever shock you are running.

We had a friend in a Neon up the spring rates on his car and we just watched him bounce on down the front straight. Funny as hell. Glad I wasn't driving.

Anymore, ebay is a good source.. Mopar discontinued them abut 3 years ago. They are still limited due to the fact that they are rebound adjust only. They are nice because they are inverted mono-tube design. If you are going to be at the ARRC, come on by and I'll show them to you.

From what I have heard (no personal experience) is that they do not last very long, and the damping is suspect. Especially under race conditions. I have a set of BG coilovers I got from Modern Performance on my autocross Neon and they seem to be holding up just fine (about a half year's use) so far. Dunno how they would be for racing.

The mopar Konis are not valved near firm enough to control 550 front 650 rear. Ask me how I know!:026: Worst place for me was the keyhole at Race City in Calgary, they actually weren't too bad at Gimli. They are going away for revalving before spring hits.

There are many good spring sources for 2.5 coil-overs other than Eibach. Try Hypercp, Afco, Suspension Systems, etc.

    They're Eibach 0600.250.0500 (6", 2.5", 500lb). Used one season (didn't work for me/my car).
I'll PM you tonight with a price.
