    Hello

Just wondering if you all had any suggestions on places to stay during the ARRC.....This will be my first trip to Road Atlanta and I do not know the area. I am looking for something within a 30 minute drive of the track and away from the Atlanta area.....been there once and dont really want to go back

    Thanks for your help

Travis, there are several hotels/motels in Oakwood. It is about a 10 minute drive to the track and several places to eat there as well.

Yep, use Yahoo! Local or Google Maps or something and search for Oakwood, Georgia, then tell whatever tool you're using to display nearby hotels, restaurants, etc. Bring food or expect to eat off property. If the food at the "Paddock Grill" is like the past, there's a really small selection and it's not the best of its kind anyway.

And when the PA guy says, "The Grill is closing in 30 minutes" expect it to close in 20, and be turned off in 5. But they will sell you a soda to go with your.....nothing.

(Caveat, my two trip 'sample' is not expansive enough to draw conclusions, YMMV)

We've stayed at the Country Inn in Oakwood and the Holiday Inn Express across from Chateau Elan. Both were fine, and I think reasonably priced (although we stayed at the Holiday Inn on reward points, so I don't know for sure....)
